Pre Easter Festivities

The weekend before Easter we started our egg hunt training. We took Dane to a local church and taught him how to hunt Easter eggs so he would be ready to go when the official day came. For this to be his first time I think he caught on pretty quickly. Unfortunately by the time he figured out what he was doing most of the eggs were gone but that didn't stop him from dumping his out over and over and putting them back in his basket. The church had other festivities besides the hunt but most of them were crafts that were for kids older than Dane.

Later on in the week we went to the totsercise class held at the YMCA and they had a special visitor. Dane wasn't all that excited nor scared of the bunny this year. I wasn't sure how he would act after that whole Santa episode he had at Christmas. It may have been a different outcome had the bunny wanted to hold him.
At the totercise class Dane got a small Easter sack of candy and he thouroughly enjoyed his first experience with eating Peeps. I guess someone has to like those disgusting things.
The day before Easter Zona Rosa had a parade (basically 20 people walked by) which included a petting zoo, Mr. Stinky Feet, face painting, and pictures with the Easter bunny (if you had all day to wait). Dane seemed to enjoy the animals which really made us want to take him to the zoo even more than we did already. I am thinking that will be one of our first big outings once Brynna arrives.
