Dane is now 21 months old and really enjoying some new fun activities. We have had so many play dates this month. We have been getting out about 3 to 4 times a week with our friends and hanging out or going to the park. For the first time I took him to the Tiffany Springs water park and he loved it. In the morning they have a toddler time for about 2 hours where they only turn on the kiddie area and let the little ones go for it. The area is perfect because he doesn't have to wear a life vest and the water is shallow enough he can walk around just fine. The slides are a little much for him to do by himself but he sure had a good time going down them with me. He would take my hand and drag me up the stairs to the slide at least 10 times before he started to get tired. We had so much fun spending some one on one quality time together, Jacob was home so he was able to keep Brynna.  

Dane also enjoyed some one on one time with Jacob riding around the neighborhood on his bike. Dane loves to just sit back and look at all the scenery around him. Sometimes Jacob will go back and forth on our street and Dane will wave and talk to me. You can tell he thinks he is so cool being with his daddy.

Well this is classic Brynna style. She came out of the womb pooping on the nurses. As you can see it was so bad we had to just dispose of the clothes. Poor Jacob could not believe his eyes when he saw her in the bouncy seat with a pink onesie on with a brown ring all the way around her. Believe it or not though he cleaned her all up. What an awesome daddy he is.

Brynna is 2 months old

My precious Brynna bear is already 2 months old. I promised myself that I would take the time to enjoy the whole baby phase with her and I am definitely doing that. Even when I get up in the middle of the night I just enjoy the cuddle time that we have. This will be the last time I ever get to cuddle a baby in the middle of the night. It doesn't hurt that she is so smiley and loving when she wakes up. She has the sweetest little smile and personality. She is already cooing away when you talk to her. She can just about get whatever she wants from me, I am totally wrapped around her finger.

The little chunk is already weighing in at 13.7. She is super healthy and really strong for her age. Most people think she is 4 months old because she holds her head up so well and she is so big. She has the chubbiest cheeks which she totally gets from me. The best part is that she is pretty much sleeping through the night. She has slept 11 + hours 4 nights in a row. I am so amazed that she is sleeping so long so fast. Jacob and I did pray consistently that she would love sleep like her mama.

Well the terrible 2's 20 months have set in full swing. Dane is such a little pistol these days. I know part of it is that the weather has been so incredibly hot that he hasn't been able to go out and burn off his energy like he would like. I have been doing my best to get him out but it is almost unsafe as hot as it is. He loves to go swimming and he does so well all on his own if he is in his tube suit. He will just swim all over the pool all by himself and I just follow behind him.

Dane and Brynna are already best buds. My aunt has been taking Dane about once a week to stay overnight at her house and when he comes back the first person he runs to is not me but Brynna. He loves to run up and say "hi baby". Every time we have picked him up or she has brought him home he has ran straight to her and wants to hold her. I can't wait until she can reciprocate those loving feelings towards him. I have a feeling they are going to be quite the duo. Jacob and I are going to be in big trouble when they start tag teaming us.

The new obsession is talking on the phone. We dug out one of our old cell phones and charged it up for Dane since he wants to talk on the phone all the time. Although these days it is hit or miss as to whether or not it is good enough. He loves to get on my phone and talk to his grandma or granny di. He will talk for 10 mins in great detail. It is really cute when he gets into a "serious" conversation where he starts using his hands and his tone completely changes. Sometimes the whole thing is cute and sometimes I JUST WANT TO TALK MYSELF. :)

I love having two little babies but sometimes I miss the quality time that I had with Dane. Thankfully Jacob is so helpful and willing to watch one of them while I spend time with the other. I decided that Dane and I needed to get out and do something fun so we called up our friends and went to the free summer exhibit at Crown Center and then played in the spray grounds. The exhibit this time is a rainforest theme but unfortunately it was geared to older children this time. The boys managed to run around and keep themselves occupied for a little bit though. Once they were bored with that and a million daycare kids showed up we decided to go to the spray park which Dane didn't really get into this time. The fountains at Crown Center are really tall and intense compared to other ones we have been to. Although Dane wasn't interested in getting in his friend Tucker was having a blast.

Deanna Rose Farm

We just so happen to luck out and find a nice overcast day that Jacob was off so we could do something fun as a family. We ended up going out to Deanna Rose Farm out in Kansas. We had such a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. Dane is at the age that he is really starting to enjoy the activities and scenery at these types of places. There where lots of animals to look at and he even got to feed the baby goats. How cool is that?
